Initial consultation

An opportunity for you to find out whether I am someone you could talk to

I appreciate that you might feel unsure about having therapy, or about what is troubling you, so it is helpful to have an initial consultation with me to explore what will be useful for you. 

The consultation phase can be extended across further sessions to allow us time to see if therapy is going to be useful to you.

In any event, it is a chance for you to gain an idea of how we might work together, and for you to perhaps let me know what it is you would like to achieve.
